Gordon Behrents Center Adult Day Services

To provide an array of services/supports based on client choice to enhance and maintain the individual's dignity, independence, and quality of life, prevent premature and unnecessary long term care placement and provide respite to families and caregivers.

All Staff receive more than 25 hours of initial formal training, more than 18 hours of annual training plus on-the-job training. The training provided is tailored to address specific needs of senior adults.

Costs vary with each individual, depending upon the funding sources available. These sources may include the Illinois Department on Aging, Office of Rehabilitation, Veterans Administration and WIAAA. A no-cost assessment is made at the time of the initial home visit. Days of attendance and fees are discussed at that time.

All staff are trained to work with special needs of individuals with Alzheimers or related disorders. Activities and programs of interest are provided daily.

Our adult day-service site meets accessibility requirements, comfortably serving individuals with special needs. Staff members are available to assist with various personal needs. We also maintain a specially-equipped transportation fleet, which includes lift vehicles.
